Introduction

I am Professor Pease, MFA (Visual Studies). I am a visual artist working in photography, digital media, and mixed media. Sometimes I raise 'Sea-Monkeys' but they don't always make it, being knocked over by the cats, or other catastrophes. I have 2.5 cats. They know how I feel. They don't really care, but they know. I love Geo-caching and adventuring in the Jeep.

Computer

I use an iMac and an OLD macbook laptop. I definitely need to upgrade some time soon.

Goals

My goals are to give students a basic working knowledge in computer graphics software, processes, and aesthetics. 3d graphics class will give students basic concepts and practices in print and animation graphics. Anyone interested in pursuing a career in 3d animation needs to research schools and understand the nature of this competitive industry.

Experience

I am a visual artist, and have been teaching Graphics and Art at AWC for a number of years. I earned an Masters of Fine Arts from Visual Studies Workshop in Rochester, New York.

I actively photograph, and working on a book project on Roadside Memorials.

Favorite Photography

I should not share this, but I love one of the designers that other designers/professors love to hate, David Carson. 

I love some of the classic photographers like David Hockney, Annie Liebovitz, Diane Arbus, and Elliot Erwitt. I also like some rougher darker styles of art and photography, with richer imagery, surface, and ideas. Gilbert and George (http://www.oaktreefinepress.com/art/index.asp) Other artists like Andy Warhol, Jean-Michel Basquiat, and way to many to really list.

Vacation Spot

I LOVE traveling in Baja California/Sur, Mexico. When people ask me where I go, I answer, "yes" because i really traverse both states (Baja California and Baja California Sur) zig zagging the peninsula

and having all sorts of adventures. It's difficult to explain, and sometimes I can't even photograph because I feel there is no way to express how amazing the experience is. I have my Jeep, and it's ready for some rough unknown roads.
